ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Richard Sommer taught myth and poetry at Montreal's Concordia University for many years. He has long been a volunteer game warden, and led a citizens' environmental group in the battle to save the Eastern Townships' Pinnacle Mountain from developers. He lives in the Townships with his wife of twenty-five years, dance improvisationalist Victoria Tansey, and their three children.
