ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Linda Leith lives in Montreal. She teaches at John Abbott College in Ste. Anne de Bellevue. The Tragedy Queen is her second novel, following the critical and popular success of her first novel, Birds of Passage. Leith is well known as a literary critic, essayist and editor. Her Introducing Hugh MacLennan's Two Solitudes was published by ECW Press and she edited the collection Telling Differences: New English Fiction from Québec published by Véhicule Press. Her articles have appeared in a wide variety of newspapers and journals, including Books in Canada, Studies in Canadian Literature, Essays on Canadian Writing, The Canadian Journal of Irish Studies, Science-Fiction Studies and Lettres Québecoise, as well as in several anthologies.
