Author, Stella Harvey will be reading from her novel, The Brink of Freedom at two libraries in Vancouver. The backdrop of the novel is the refugee crisis in Greece. She spent a total of four months in Greece on two separate occasions doing on the ground research for her novel which took her from a refugee detention centre to the squalor of a Roma camp outside of Corinth. After her short reading, Stella will answer questions about her novel and all questions about the refugee crisis in Greece which continues to escalate as borders continue to close.

Words on Ice: An Evening of Readings

Stella Harvey will be reading at Words on Ice, one of the opening events for The Malahat Review's fourth-annual literary symposium, taking place at the University of Victoria, Victoria, B.C., from March 17 to 20, 2016. Stella's reading will take place March 18, 2016 from 7:30pm-9:30pm.
