Local author, Stella Harvey will join us after dinner to read from her novel, Nicolai's Daughters and answer any questions you have about writing, reading books and story telling. If you've always wanted to meet an author and ask them where their ideas come from, this is the event for you. Like a good old fashioned bed time story with a twist please join us for an engaging discussion, mingle with friends, and enjoy a herbal tea or something stronger. What a great way to end a wonderful day and an evening meal. Stella will have copies available of her book for sale. And she will also have a book club guide available about her novel.

Over a glass (or two) of wine enjoy the decadence of a delectable dessert and listen in as local authors dish about what inspires them. Come discover new authors and their books . At the end of the evening, enter your name in a draw to win the entire set of books of the authors featured at this event. Featured author books will also be on sale courtesy of our very own, Armchair Books. Authors will have pen in hand to sign books. Come meet some of Whistler’s very own talented authors, indulge in our chefs’ sweet offerings and get ahead of your Christmas shopping list. Is there anything better to give than a signed copy of a book?
The event will feature local authors: Sue Oakey-Baker, Sara Leach, Stephen Vogler, Paula Shackleton, Stella Harvey and this year's writer in residence, Ania Szado. With special guest author long-listed Giller prize nominee, Michael Winter.
