Charlene Diehl, author of Out of Grief, Singing, joins the Winnipeg Walk to Remember group for its 5th annual walk. The organization says, "We walk to spread awareness about Pregnancy and Infant Loss and to remember our babies who have gone too soon, to form a community of support for bereaved parents and to celebrate our children's all-too-short lives. Pregnancy and Infant Loss refers to the loss of a child in pregnancy at any gestation, stillbirth, shortly after birth (of any cause) and infants up to the age 2 (of any cause). The loss may be recent or long ago, it does not matter. Who can join us: Any parent who has lost a child under the age of 2, including during any gestation of pregnancy, their friends and family, and any member of the community who wish to offer their support in raising Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness." Charlene will give a short reading before the walk begins.
